But with the onset of the ban on various Chinese-based apps and TikTok being one of them, Instagram has found a way to seize this opportunity. Unlike Tiktok, Instagram Reels is a feature within the Instagram app. This feature allows users to create short videos of about 15 seconds and share them on Explore, feed, and also via DMs.

This feature being an integrated part of Instagram, will also encourage other Instagram users to try this feature out. Currently, the reels feature is being tested out in the mentioned countries, and will soon be available to all users based on the response it gets.

Although this feature was already on test in other countries, noticing its release a few days after the ban on TikTok does show that this feature is a response to the TikTok ban. Now, content creators can use this feature to create short videos, add filters and music to it and share it on the platform to grow their reach.

You can also now create, fun, and engaging short videos with the help of Instagram real. Later, you can display your reels on Instagram with another tab for reels where your reels can feature.

How to Create Instagram Reels?

# Go to Instagram stories camera to find reels right next to the story.

#You can now save the recorded clip and add to the news feed, stories or, tap send to your followers via DMs.
