Business Development Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain short and long-term business development plans.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, assigning weekly performance goals and assuring their completion, while accomplishing your own goals.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve sales, profitability, market share, and business plan objectives.
  • Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished on time.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans.
  • Delegate responsibilities to the best employees to perform them while enforcing all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs and cultural values.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Researching for organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain a list or database of prospective clients.
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
  • Negotiate with the customers to secure the most attractive prices.
  • Answer potential customer questions, respond to customers’ requests for proposal and follow-up call questions.
  • Build long-term relationships with existing customers
  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople
  • Develop goals for the business development team and business growth and ensure that they are met.
  • Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills.
  • Communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to staff members and customers, in a clear and concise manner
  • Work with team members to identify and manage risks.
  • Equip staff and team members with the technical and social skills needed to enhance sales.
  • Coordinate business generation activities and develop targeted and customized sales strategies
  • Identify and manage company risks that might prevent growth.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment in the organization, combine efforts and creativity to promote the growth and longevity of the firm.
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.
  • Use the CRM software to maintain a pipeline of all sales administered.

Job Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a business development manager for minimum 2 years.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.
  • Great analytical skills and ability to manage the team along with your duties and responsibilities
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to flourish independently, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
